DC Domainers Meetup Event

Ted OKeefe, managing director for Internet Venture Holdings, organized a meetup last week for DC-area domainers and sent us an update on how the event went:

“Despite the Metro closing for repairs causing traffic gridlock around the beltway, approximately fifteen domainers arrived in time to drink cold micro brews at the Port City Brewery in Alexandria, Virginia. We had full- and part-time domainers and locals who work in the industry. Sam Stitt, a domain broker from Digital DNA, spoke to the members about his company’s services and Duane Bailey, a Senior Product Manager from Verisign, talked with the group about DomainScope.com, a new domain search tool. The group decided they would like to keep the domain name investing meetup group going so we’re going to try and meet once per quarter. Everyone and anyone is welcome regardless of experience level. Whether you own one domain or one thousand we’re a helpful group teaching each about we’ve learned in the industry.”
