In Depth

Who would you call your mentor?

Anyone I can learn from.

What kinds of changes do you foresee in this industry within the industry in the next year? The next 5 years?

In the next year I foresee an increase in people connecting DNS domains to ENS wallet address and using their .com, .net, .org, and other extensions as crypto wallet addresses. In the next 5 years, I foresee ICANN either creating their own blockchain or collaborating with Ethereum or some other existing or future blockchain to allow DNS extensions on the blockchain.

What are the current trends that are directly impacting your business?

New extensions are starting to get more exposure and when companies or startups aren’t able to get their .com, they sometimes branch out and make inquiries and acquire alternative extension domains I own.

Describe a recent challenge that you overcame.

Creating, testing and deploying a smart contract for an NFT collection in a very short time frame based upon a projects requirements, to meet a launch date.

What’s the most recent thing you learned (big or small)?

I am a continuous learner and learn new things everyday.

What are you most proud of?

I’m blessed with a wonderful family.

What fact about you would surprise people?

I was a Boy Scout

What was the best advice you were ever given?

This list could go on for paragraphs, and I could list way more than one, but I’ll keep it short with the golden rule. “Treat others, as you want to be treated.”

What are you most looking forward to at the upcoming NamesCon?

Connecting and networking in person with people I’ve met and known online for throughout the years.

How would you describe NamesCon to a new domainer?

NamesCon is a great place to meet people in the domain industry who you’ve connected with on LinkedIn, Clubhouse, Twitter, and other virtual spaces to network and build relationships.
