Describe your company. How long have you been there and what led you to this career choice?101domain is the leader in country-code extensions, and has been online since 1999. I’ve been there for nearly 5 years. Domains were my first love (and they still remain so!)
NamesCon is all about business networking. Can you tell us a story about the success of a meeting at NamesCon?
I have forged great bonds with the women in domaining, since I was one of the original females to begin attending domain conferences. That percentage gap is growing smaller, and I value the Women in Domaining meetings each year.
Can you tell us about how your service or product helps deliver value to your customers?
Not only are we able to assist with the purchase of nearly every global extension, but we also have extensive experience within the aftermarket community; this enables us to network with buyers, sellers, registries and other registrars. We believe that there should be healthy competition among peers, since the community is so tight-knit. This ability to collaborate with other providers promotes a positive experience for our customers.
How does your career compare to what you envisioned in your youth?
I let the Universe decide my career, and I’m perfectly happy with where it went.
What are your thoughts on the new TLDs?
Just like it took .com a decade to gain popularity, so will it be for new gTLDs. I have a very active millennial son, and he thinks nothing of using a new gTLD domain for a new project.
What are the most innovative products or services that are currently impacting your business?
Blockchain, of course.
Who would you like to hear speak at NamesCon? Why?
Domain investors who have successfully built brands from their domains.
What fact about you would surprise people?
I can write backwards.
Name three things you cant travel without.
A lot of cords. A journal. Way too many shoes.
Where is your favourite place to escape?
Any motorcycle race, anywhere. If there are no motorcycle races then I will settle for an auto race. Monaco is next.
What was the best advice you were ever given?
Stay in your lane. Be grateful, have fun, and take care of others.
