Q&A

Describe your company and how long you have been there.

We own and operate 40 of the new TLDs on the market. I believe we’re in an industry on the edge of great things. Technology constantly changes and those who don’t adapt tend to get left behind.

Can you tell us about how your service or product helps deliver value to your customers?

People, especially the progressive new generations, want information as quickly as possible. The closer you can get people to understanding what you do, the quicker they will engage. The new TLDs provide domain names that can tell people exactly what you do in the shortest amount of time — a quick glance. Since it is nearly impossible to register anything relevant from the legacy extensions, the new TLDs open up the opportunity to truly create a short story in under 15 characters.

What are your thoughts on the new TLDs?

They represent common sense.

What kinds of changes do you foresee within the industry in the five years?

A greater recognition of new TLDs from the general public. It takes time to break people of the old norms, but I believe it will happen over the next five years.

What are you most looking forward to at the upcoming NamesCon?

Hearing all varying opinions on the new TLDs.

How would you describe what you do in a single sentence to a stranger?

We make it easier for people to find you online with relevant, meaningful, web addresses.

If you had fifteen extra minutes each day, what would you do with them?

Chill.

What’s the most recent thing you learned?

That common sense is not common at all.

What was the best surprise you’ve experienced so far in life?

That my wife agreed to marry me!

Where is your favourite place to escape?

Property up in the woods in GoldBar, WA.

What was the best advice you were ever given?

Don’t burn bridges.
