For the first time NamesCon Europe will feature a live domain auction at this year’s event in Cascais, brought to us by RightOfTheDot and NameJet. Hundreds of super-premium names will be up for grabs in both the live and extended auctions. Read on to find out how to get involved: your portfolio will thank you for it.
Pre-Register for the Domain Auction
To participate in the domain auction, you’ll have to set up a free account with NameJet. Your identity will also have to be verified if you want to bid on names valued at $2,500 or more. Hit this link to get started: it’s a pretty quick process.

Pre-Bidding
Pre-bidding is already underway, and several of the hottest names have already met their reserves. Clearly lots of bidders are in it to win it—are you? Here’s where you can start pre-bidding and stake your claim on that perfect name.
Live Auction
This is the main event for many of you. Starting at 5pm Western European Time (GMT+1) on June 20, the live auction gets underway. Grab a paddle from NameJet if you want to get in the game. Those who can’t make it to Cascais, as well as those who wish to remain anonymous, can bid online through NameJet’s digital portal.
Champion auctioneer Wayne Wheat will keep the action moving very quickly, as is his specialty: he literally wrote the book on it.
During the live auction, you’ll be competing against your colleagues in the room as well as bidders tapping in from the internet.
Extended Auction
The domain auction continues online until July 2 on namejet.com, so you can take another stab at names that didn’t meet their reserves during the live auction; as well as names that are only available for bidding online.
