Describe your company and how long you have been there.

ICANN Registrars, New gTLD Registries, ccTLD Registries and ISP/Telcos. In addition, we also offer a turnkey SaaS platform—OrderBox, which provides end-to-end business automation to our partner clients. LogicBoxes leads in providing Vertical Integration and Automation Solutions for New gTLD and ccTLD Registries. We provide comprehensive Retail and Wholesale Solutions, empowering Registries to grow and manage their namespaces.

This being my second stint at the company; I’ve been here for five years now.

What can attendees look forward to during your session?
Sales & Channel partnerships are a good entry strategy for new TLD Registries. These partnerships get you reach, client connects and viewability on registration portals. Having said that, there was an underlying theme, an idea and a concept behind the birth of each new TLD. This story, this use case and how it fits with the consumers who buy domains can only be translated by the custodian of the brand; the Registry to the desired effect.

A retail storefront is an essential step towards making this dent with the domain consumer; in fact as important as it is for other consumer product companies. An immersive experience offered to the consumer built around the brand and its essence will go a long way in getting a consumer buy in.

Through our session, we will talk about ways to achieve this.

What are your thoughts on the new TLDs?
New TLDs are the brave frontier of the domains industry. How they conduct business now, how they set processes and practices will define how the next round of new TLDs will set up shop after the turn of the decade. Its a burden of responsibility and success that lies on these TLDs.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I drive a mini-van.

How did you get your start in the industry?
Just out of engineering school I was looking for something to do and the domains industry was looking for a sales associate. Its been a constant in my journey there on.

What advice can you offer those who are just getting their start in the domain or related industry?
Read. Read. Read. You have decades of history to read that has made the domains industry what it is today.

How does your career compare to what you envisioned in your youth?
It can’t. I wanted to be an Air Force Pilot. Not complaining though.

How would you describe what you do in a single sentence to a stranger?
If you’ve ever browsed content on the web, there is someone from my industry who helped it get there.

If you had 15 extra minutes each day, what would you do with them?
I’ve just graduated to fatherhood. Fifteen minutes extra a day wont cut it, but I’ll take it.

What was the best advice you were ever given?
Don’t take advice seriously.

What object would you put in a time capsule that best represents who you are today?
My analog wrist watch.
