Premium names for sale? Get in on one of the industry’s hottest evenings!

Submissions are now open for the RightOfTheDot domain auction at NamesCon Global 2020! The live auction will take place Thursday, January 30 at the NamesCon Global conference in Austin, Texas. RightOfTheDot is bringing you this live auction for the fifth year, with world champion auctioneer Wayne Wheat.

This year, the auction will take place on the GoDaddy Auctions platform, including the pre-, live, and extended auctions. You’ll also experience ROTD’s new live auction and pre-bidding interface—expect the action to move even faster.

The Auction Experience Starts Now

If you have premium names for sale, then get in on this landmark event—submit your names directly through ROTD.com. Please note that you must have a free, valid GoDaddy account and payee information set up prior to submitting domains for auction. You can create a GoDaddy account here. You can also set up your payee info here. If you’re unable to attend the auction in person, you can take part remotely via Proxbid. As we get closer to go-time, you’ll find up-to-the-minute info on RightOfTheDot’s NamesCon auction page.

About RightOfTheDot

RightOfTheDot is an internet consulting and advisement firm specializing in selling, brokering, acquiring, auctioning, and appraising premium domain names in new and existing TLDs. ROTD also specializes in strategy, board advisement, premium domain and market positioning, sales, stealth acquisition, and consulting services. RightOfTheDot is the only company with a professional auction business license that’s specific to the domain-name industry. ROTD and its founder and managing director Monte Cahn are responsible for over $470 million in domain name sales transactions since 1995.

Big Sales, Big Trends

Last year’s domain auction was the biggest in NamesCon history, to the tune of over $2.3 million in sales. OL.COM sold for $900,000 on the floor—and, yes, we broke out the Champagne! Meanwhile, someone scored SAFEVAPE.COM for $3600, a super-relevant name which would have been meaningless only a year or so earlier. That same evening, LEADS.COM also sold for $435,000. It wasn’t just a night for high-dollar names: several four-letter .COMs—as well as other valuable names—sold for under $800 to eagle-eyed investors.

Everything you know about the domain industry comes into play when you bid for a name, as you test your nerves against your peers in the room as well as colleagues and new investors around the world through live online bidding.

If you’re in Austin with us, though, you’ll have an advantage over those internet bidders—you’ll be soaking up knowledge from NamesCon Global’s 360-degree programming, including the deep topics covered in the Domain Economic Forum. That knowledge will be your secret weapon, so use it wisely!

Pre-bidding will kick off by December 1st at GoDaddy Auctions. Subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media so you don’t miss out!
